XP wizard

I just don't understand the lingo that they ask while going thru the wizard in
hooking up a simple hookup with the Cat 5 between 2 computers. I don't know
which to choose of the 3 they mention. Internet is one of them. I'm not
interested in signing on the internet thru networking, and yet, TC/IP or
whatever its called seems to sneak in the network configuration, even if I
don't want it. This was true with win98 and win95 anyway. Also. the wizard says
that BOTH computers should have the same name for workgroup. When i did that, I
get a message that they should be different names. I don't get it. It says one
thing and denies it when you do it.

TCP/IP is the protocol need for the computers to talk to each other. The
work group name must be the same for both computers, the computer name for
each has to be different. The easy way is just use the defaults--
