XP Windows opening too fast

I have made my XP to look like the windows classic.
However, when I go and click on the start button and let's
say I go to programs for example. All the programs
associated with the main application will also open the
submenus too (fast too). It's like everything is
displayed at once. I also have problems with the
bookmarks with the browsers I use. I go to bookmarks and
let's say to Computers and technology the sub menu will
open automatically (it makes it hard to choose everything
at once). Please someone help, it is driving me crazy. I
have looked everywhere, but no answers.
