xp volume control

My volume is always low, so I open the volume control and raise the volume
all the way. It works fine then reverts back to low volume.. how can I keep
it at high volume in the control??
 
Download and install the latest audio driver from the manufacturer's
website.

Thank you for your response, I will get the updated driver and hope it will
