xp user access denied after system crash

after the system crashed i used the system recovery to restore windows, but
now on statup there is only the owner user, before there were 4 or 5. it is
possible to access the files of all the other users through the owner's
windows, but when i try to get into mine it says:
"c:\documents and settings\richard.YOUR-3HCEF8Q6J0 is not accessible
Access is denied"
I think it is because i was an administrator before and my account was
password protected that it says this.
i think itis probably possible to change it in windows registry or something.
any help would be appreciated,
thanks

Hiii, you can gain the access of these folders by the following method:
01.go to explorer > tools > folder
options > scroll down to option "enable simple sharing" and disable it
02.now right click properties the files u want to restrict you will notice a
new tab " security " go there 03.click advanced and open ownership tab ther
u can make you as the owner of all the files.

ps: the process or resetting ownership might take some time if there are
many files present

Hope this helps...
