XP Upgrade Install Failure

We are trying to install Windows XP on a T20 (IBM
Thinkpad).

The install begins, but shuts itself down in the middle
and the computer shuts down.

As far as we can determine, there is no conflict between
Windows XP and the T20.

Any suggestions are very welcome!

Check the upgrade.txt file and see what was determined to be a possible flag
for errors during install.
