XP upgrade from ME

I'm currently running ME on my computer. I'd like to
upgrade to XP. However, during the setup process, setup
only offers to install XP in addition to ME on my hard
drive, warning me that having two os is not recommended.

How do I get rid of ME and replace it with XP?

Boot from the windows XP CD and format C from there. You can get detailed
advice by searching in Google

I just upgraded myself. That was a little confusing. When you get to that
stage you pick the C drive and then you get the choice for quick or regular
format and fat 32 or NTFS. After that it was pretty straight forward.
