XP Upgrade fails

My HP Pavilion a330n locks after upgrrade from XP Home to
XP Pro. Setup processes normally until system reboots
with XP Pro. Screen goes blank and nothing further
happens. Will not start in save mode either. Any
suggestions (other than getting a diff computer)?
