By booting to the one you do want, then delete the system folders for the
unwanted installation. Then start/run msconfig, go to the boot.ini tab and
select the line that loads the installation you want, then click "set as
default". Click apply/ok and reboot. Make sure it defaults to the
installation you want to keep.
After rebooting, go back to the boot.ini tab of msconfig, click the button
to "check all boot paths". It should offer to remove the line that is no
longer valid.
