We have a problem with the Task Bar on a laptop.

The task bar suddenly showed up as a small white strip on the left side of
the screen. I can make/pull this wider and at least now see the entire bar
but it appears to be firmly stuck down the left hand side of the screen with
the start button in the top left corner.

I would appreciate a remedy for this problem.

Thank you;

David

try this

How to move the Taskbar

Moving the Taskbar is simple once you understand the basic steps involved.
To move the Taskbar, move your mouse cursor to where the time is currently
displayed on the Taskbar. Once your mouse cursor is over the time, click and
hold the mouse button down, and while holding the mouse button down, move
your cursor to the middle edge of where you want the Taskbar to be. For
example, if you wish to return the Taskbar back to its original position,
move the cursor to the bottom center of the screen. When the Taskbar has
moved to its new location, release the button.

Had the same problem. It is an XP common tasks toolbar. I believe I
went to dougknox.com and got a little program that removed the tool
bar. Had onset of Common Task Toolbar when I changed desktop
pictures. The little program worked great. If not at dougknox.com
search for XP_Common Tasks and you should find a number of places to
check. sinrak
