position of "start" button

the "start" button on my desk top has always been located in the lower left
corner of my screen. That is just where I want it. Out of the blue it now
appears in the upper right corner of the screen. I have right clicked on the
task bar, then selected properties and then unlocked the taskbar. I am now
trying to drag the taskbar from the upper right location back to the lower
left. I can't do it! What is going on?

Although by default the task bar appears on the bottom of the screen,
it can be on any of the sides you prefer it on. To move it from any
side to another, simply click on an unused part of it and drag it
where you want it. Be sure to click *within* it, not on the edge;
clicking on the edge and dragging will resize it.

If you're having trouble, keep trying. It *will* move.
