XP stop error and MEM test

My sony Vaio V505 laptop recently got start up error.
After start up, it gives blue screen with stop error
stop 0x0000007F(0x00000008, 0x80042000,0x00000000,0x00000000).

After shut down computer, start again will show the safe mode screen.

I looked up on the web, looks like need to a diagnostic test. I try to
use MS Online Crash Test. http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
I downloaded file and made a bootable CD.

But after booting, it didn't show the interface that suppose to come up

according to MS online crash analysis website. Instead it leads to
DR-DOS
Below is what showed:
"Search for USB HDD devices...
USB support successfully initialized
No FAT32 volumes found, existing...
NTFS File system driver for DR-DOS. version 1.200
...
Completed codepage prepare function
Completed codepage select function
NLSFUNC is already loaded."

Anyone had similar experience? Any advice is appreciated!

Gerry:

I didn't installed any new hardware(memeory). I was traveling with this
laptop, I suspect there is any vibration in the trip
caused the hardware(memory) damage.

I have not used this laptop to get online for quite some time. This
problem happend the second day after I start to
use the wireless card to get on web. Wondering if this may caused the
problem.

Appreicate your reply. How do I debug this kind of error, is there any
software I need to install.

Thanks,
