xp startup

I tried to start xp today the screen will go towindows xp screen with the
green scrolling bar below it the screen then goes black and sets there.
Nothing else happens. I tried to repair and it stated it could not copy one
of the files. Any ideas?

Hi

Which particular file couldn't be copied? Try a System Restore from Safe
Mode:

Reboot your system and then keep tapping the F8 key to access a screen that
shows Safe Mode.

It will not start in safe mode either. It shows all the drivers loading then
sets there with them still on the screen.

I had that on my system, you need to repair the installation by booting off
an XP CD
