XP Startup Nightmare

A

Alexander Thomson

Running Win-XP
Recently had a few viruses (now cleaned) and now when I try to start up the
pc the log on screen comes up with the system administrator account but no
password box. when I click on the account button the machine shows a blank
desktop for about a second b4 reverting to the log on screen. The only other
option on this screen is to shut down. Is there anyway I can by pass the
log on screen and start-up?
Cheers.

On starting computer, tap the F8 key, enter in safe-mode with networking,
enter as ADM.,you'll probably need to start a new user account, the current
is probably corrupt.
