XP start up

When I start XP it takes about 12 minutes before the hour glass goes away. I
also have found that under "Favorites" I have startUp that should belong in
the windows directory. I have no idea how to get the startUp listed in my
Favorites back to where it belongs. Any Sugesstions??

You can simply move the folder from here to the Start Menu with
Windows Explorer.
