Mirsoft XP startup

I sent this email to Microsoft. Any solutions? I doubt it.
Just when do you know when the computer is ready to work with after startup
when the hour glass comes on and goes off continuously. Is it the first
time, the second time or the third time the hour glass goes off? Don't you
think this is not too smart?? I wait and wait and wait for the hour glass to
go away, thinking that this is it. Know I can click on something and get
started working, but NO, the hour glass came on again, it is still loading
something. I have to wait for I don't know how long before it goes away and
may come back up again. I have worked with a MAC for years and when all the
icons come up, I know I am ready to start work and when the spinning wheel
stops (which is spinning until something is completely loaded and finished
loaded) I know I can start working. How simple. I can not figure out for
the life of me why after so many years MICROSOFT has not picked up on this
outrageous default all the way up to the XP version. NOT VERY SMART IN MY
OPINION. This has aggravated me ever since I purchased an IBM compatible to
learn and compare operating systems. I would like someone from the software
development department of your software to email me and explain why this
feature has not been addressed in all these years. Frustrated? Yes!!!!

have you actually LOOKED to see what is starting up when you switch on? I
bet you will be able to stop most of it as being unnecessary....

Please post copies of all Error and Warning Reports appearing in the
System and Application logs in Event Viewer for the last boot. No
Information Reports please.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

Part of the Description of the error will include a link, which you
should double click for further information. You can copy using copy
and paste. Often the link will, however, say there is no further
information.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer.Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Thanks for your reply. Your answer is not what I am looking for. That is not
what I am getting at. The hour glass does not stay on (continuously) when
loading anything. I comes and goes and stays gone for quite a while while
your sitting there wondering if it is finished loading whatever it it
loading. My MAC's spinning wheel is continuous spinning while it is loading
anything and when it stops, I know I am ready to continue working. That is
not the case with Microsoft.

Nope, XP may only give the hour glass when it's "really" busy.
