XP Start up Isuue

Start Up issue:
It seems that I have a problem, I came home from work one day a found a
black screen on my pc. The typical message" soory for inconvience but windows
did not satr correctly.......... I haven't added anything to the system. It
will restar and go right back to the same screen it promppts me to go to aqll
different modes. I can't even star it in safe mode. Please help Thanks!

If you own a standard xp install disk, boot to it, and press 'r' for repair.
The Recovery Console Prompt will allow you to run the command :
chkdsk /r
if no help, boot to cd again, press ENTER to start setup, and accept the
second repair option.
