Hi There,

I'm just getting confused with which SP should I obtain!
I'm using XP PRO, OS version 5.1 built 2600...I
downloaded SP2 v. 2149. Is this the right one? And is
this one ok or should I download the new release which
people are talking about!

Hi

Build 2149 is release candidate 2, that is not the one you want.

The final one is available at the Microsoft Download Center
(network/standalone version, 266 MB):

That one was a preliminary Release Candidate 2 version. You should not
install it now. Wait for the final version to become available on CD,
or to get it on Windows Update. If you are in a real hurry, download
the full size build from
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/sp2predl.mspx
- top item, Download and deploy to multiple computers, which pays off in
total download over the Update if you have three or more machines to put
it on, or if you only have a dial up connection, but can get this on a
different machine on broadband

This is a bit off subject. How does one remove the Windows Security Center
Icon from the system tray?
