xp sp2 release will it update hardware?

The reason I ask there is one hardware, I don’t want my modem
updated.. Reason is the modem on hold application does not work with
update modem drivers.

None with hardware

My post got split.

I have a modem of hold application, it will only work if I use the
original drivers. I tried updating the driver and the modem on hold
application quits working.

There is no update for the modem on hold application.

You can disconnects when you get an incoming phone call.
Requires call waiting from your phone company.

I don't want xp sp2 to update my modem, when it is released.

Even, if it did a simple "Roll Back Driver" would undo any
change to it.
