Can anyone confirm that "network connections" are now only available for
configuration via the new Firewall icon in control panel ?
thanks

I'm nit sure just what you mean by ONLY in the Firewire Icon, but I find
that Network connections are available in the Control Panel as before. They
can be configured there just as before SP2, either RC.

My "Network Connections" within Control Panel becomes inactive after SP2 RC2.
Click it but nothing does happen. I chose Windows Firewall disabled 'cause I
use other firewall.

DIsabling the Windows Firewall did not have that effect on my system. I've installed
SP2 v.2149.

Martin,
On this PC the "Network Connections" icon still exists in the Control Panel.
Also, the facility can still be accessed, using the Classic Start Menu, from Start ->
Settings -> Network Connections.

Yes-mine works fine also- sp2 v2149 - the only bug I've
found is some outlook express links not working.

You will notice that links in Outlook Express have not been working
through out most of this beta. Also, disabling the Windows Firewall is
not suggested unless you plan on using a different one. I see you plan
to do that ;) Sygate is my personal preference, but it is important to
have a working firewall and be smart with files or get an AV if you
don't know how to protect yourself.

I had solved this problem by re-register the netshell.dll service manually.
I learned this solution from newsgroup microsoft.private.xpsp2.general

Thanks everybody!
