XP sp2 problem

The new XP2 Security Center keeps telling me to check the
status of my virus protection. Apparently it does not
like Norton anti-virus. After installing XP2, I updated
my anti-virus. Every time I turn on the PC, the Security
Shield pops up a balloon telling me I have a problem.

How do I defeat this feature? If necessary, how do I
remove the Security Center Icon and messages?
