windows xp sp3 slipstream activation problem

i slipstreamed windows xp sp2 disk with a sp3 update and it was done
on a windows xp xp2 machine. but the problem of activation has comes
up. it doesnt accept our serials which it otherwise accepts when sp3
is installed over already working sp2 machine. i heard of this problem
occurring when slipstreamed on vista machine but i am facing the same
on a xp sp2 machine. any solution will be appreciated.
