My mother board is ASUS A7V8X-MX SE (via chipset) Processor is AMD XP 1800 +
I was installing xp pro. When "installing network" phase the installation
stand alone. not pass this phase. when disable or remove pci NIC
installation completes.
After installation xp pro , I installed SP2 . then I attached NIC to pc. XP
recognize the NIC. And install its driver. but on connection there is an
alert "limited or no conection" . I read all topics and forum over the
internet about this (limited or no connentivity) . The Nic couldn't ping
other machines.
is this problem about mainboard failure?

Also tried Winsockxp, Netsh ...., ipconfig /renew /release, try an
other NIC and change pci slots, all about the LAN properties.

Please help me.

also usb ports are not working. couldn't recognize usb flash memory

Please have a look at

subchapter, "Limited or no connectivity warning".

Bad luck then. Some problems are difficult to solve. The second
last resort is a repair installation.

You could try http://www.michna.com/kb/wxnet.htm, but it doesn't
contain much new information, it's just better organized.

Thanks for interest. I take the case computer shop so they are testing for
hardware failure.
