XP SP2 License activiation

I have Windows XP SP2 preloaded on my machine and I am wondering if there is
a way for me to confirm that I have activated my windows license with
Microsoft.

Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Activate Windows
You will get one of two message and your activation status will be clear.

Most computers from major OEMS such as Gateway, Dell, HP etc have no need to
be activated.
In some cases "Activate Windows" option may not be available on preinstalled
Windows XP.

There is no "activate windows" option under the system Tools folder. Also
tried to run c:\windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe but nothing comes up.

Any other suggestions?

If your computer is from a major OEM, that can be normal and no activation
is required or even possible.
Contact the OEM if you need further details.
