Whistling Gypsy

Hi - not being a hardware expert I need some advise. I
installed SP2 as advised, but after the installation I
had the follwoing problems:
1. My system was so slow it was at a snails pace
2. My printer was no longer recognised and I could not
uninstall and reinstall it.
3. I already have Norton AV and Pop Up Blocker and it
just caused hassle having the add ons from SP2 on my
pc.

Anyway, I needed to print for work, so I was forced to do
a restore on my PC, and now it all works fine again and
is back to normal speed.

Anybody know why this could have happened and is it
totally necessary for me to have SP2??

Thanks in advance.

1. It can take up to 3 days for the prefetch file to rebuild, until
then it is normal for computer to be slower.

2. Did you ask printer manufacturer about SP-2 compatibility or
possible issues?
3. The hassle you refer was most likely the Security Center.
If NAV is 2003 or older, Norton has not yet made the necessary update
available so Windows can monitor Norton.
This can be easily disables and does not affect Norton functionality.

Without the details you missed, it is impossible to be more specific
but it seems like your issues had simple solutions if you had asked
first.
