had a client that installed some windows updates and then the pc would not
start again ... It would freeze at the Windows XP splash screen and the blue
bar would freeze as well.
Tried to start in safe mode and it would freeze at the drivers\mup.sys line.
Tried to use last know good command .. no luck.
Tried to do a new install and repair and it froze with about 32 minutes left
tried it gain and it frooze at the same spot.
Did a new install in a new folder ... started up OK. Started installing
updates and rebooted ... OK. installed sp2 and I ran into the same problems
again with the new install.
Any ideas on recovering? ideas on the problem?
