XP SP2 Access Denied

Had to uninstall Service Pack 2. Came to reinstall it and it gets part way
through then returns an error message saying 'Access Denied'. Can't figure
out from the Knowledge Base why this is or how to resolve it. Now means I'm
running under SP-1, for obvious reasons want SP-2 back. Any ideas?

You receive an "Access is denied" error message when you try to install
Windows XP Service Pack 2

After that excellent link given by Malke, if you still experience problems,
please post in the windowsupdate group, where you will find, unfortunately,
you are not alone :-(
I see you are a fellow ntl user - please munge your email in the
newsgroups - or you will find yourself flooded with spam - despite ntl
having a very good antispam service.
This might help - just one of many sites in Google
