Media Maker crashes

Whenever I run Windows Media Maker to tryand edit a short movie file, the
programme crashes.

I want to know if I can re-install just WMM or if there is a way to fix it
without having to re-install my SP Home OS, and Service Pack 2 all over
again. I tried a download of SP2 but I got "Access Denied" halfway through.

Try downloading a fresh/new copy of WMM and install it overtop of your
current copy, yours may have corrupt or missing files.

The download is not a single exe file, but a part of SP", which I tried, but
got this access denied message.

I think I need the individual files....
