xp sp1 installation

ok, installing xp sp1 on a new comptuer, it gets to the first reboot<before
gui> an just reboots into the first stage again, ive tried<wait for it> new
mainboard, different disk, different ide cables, flashed the cmos, new cmos
battery, diferent copy of windows, removing all unnessacary pci cards,
diferent cd rom, checked all jumpers, please help i think im about to tear
all my hair out !!
