XP Shutdown itself

I have a Toshiba Laptop 900 Mhz, actually when scan for
virus or run clean disk the computer shutdown itself,

This might be a heat problem in which case you would likely have to call
Toshiba. You might check Event Log to see if there's an indication of the
source of the issue there. Go to Control Panel, open Administrative Tools,
open Event Viewer, look for errors that correspond to when the sytem shut
down, double click the error, the informatio contained within may give a
clue as to the source of the issue.
