XP SetUpLoop

I am locked in a Win XP SetUp Loop. Even Power Down and
Up does not get me out of loop. I can not get a restart
of install. How can I get the setup to abort so I can
restart or reboot from previous version of XP?

Hello Ted,
You can use the F8 as soon as the boot process starts to display the Safe
Mode menu which will point to the boot.ini to allow you to boot into other
operating systems if they exist. This assumes that there was an operating
system installed and you are not doing an upgrade.

I have the same problem, tried the F8 method with no but
still I get to the same loop "windows installation can't
continue in safe mode", machine reboots, setup starts and
again.

I was merely running a reinstallation of windows
professional.
