XP Service Pack 2 - now chkdsks & reboots continuously

after installing SP 2 my computer rebooted, went into
chkdsk, found some problems, corrected them, rebooted,
went to the Startup screen, allowed me to click on my
user name, played the startup music, then rebooted and
began the whole process over again. It has done this more
than 20 times. Sometimes it finds problem files in chkdsk
and fixes them; other times it finds no problems. But it
always reboots and starts the loop over again.

its looks like sfc/scanboot is active ( checks every time),,,, have to type
sfc/revert in cmd window, if you cant get to this do a repair install and
then load sp2 in from CD.
The sp2 may have changed the registry entry to do chkdsk every boot (
sfc/scanboot), another solution is to find in in registry in safe mode and
shut it off,
winxp sp2 chat support is available for free,,, ask them.....
