XP Search function gives blank window

Hi..have recently noticed that when trying to run a
search in XP (ie Start, Search) that I just open up a
blank window with two columns. I cannot remember what I
did to cause this, but I certainly remember an input
screen where I could specify ceryain parameters, like
files, folders, location etc before this corruption
occured.

Have tried the various suggestions in Kelly's Korner and
re-installing from the srchasst.inf to no avail.

Any advice appreciated.

Did you try a system restore?

There are other checkpoints as well, have you tried them all?

Why doesn't Search work?
