XP says that I'm working offline even when physically connected

When I use Offline Files I get the Offline icon in the
system tray that says that I'm working offline even if I'm physically
connected to the LAN.

Have found reference to others with the same problem but no fixes.

Windows XP Tablet PC edition SP2

Can anyone help pls ?

Harry, have you found a solution to this problem? I have the same issue with
Windows XP SP1 clients connecting to Win2k SP4 server. And apart from showing
the offline icon, when the user tries to synchronize, it pops up that the
server is unavailable, even though the user is connected to network and the
server is available.
