Xp Restarts

For some odd reason, whenever I log into my account on XP
Home Edition, It will sometimes restart for no reason. I
get this alot especially trying to close AOL Instant
Messenger since it runs on startup.

Do you have an Antivirus Scanner installed? I would also stop AOL (and
anything else you don't need) from loading at startup by deleting it
from the Startup folder (Start-Programs-Startup). I would try this:
Click Start-Run-Type msconfig and click OK. Click Diagnostic Startup and
click OK. Now reboot and see if you have the problem anymore. If you
don't, try using MSConfig to check under the Startup tab and see if
anything is starting with Windows that shouldn't be.
