XP requires password reentry for mapped drives?

K

Kenny

I asked yesterday about getting XP-home to reconnect to
mapped drives without having to reenter a password for
every mapped drive when rebooting. I was directed to
ChicagoTech.net which did not answer the question.
I already have the same username and password on all
computers. The Win2K machines reconnect the mapped drives
with no problem. The XP-Home require that the same
password be reentered to access the mapped drives.

Does anyone know of any registry entries to stop this
behavior, or any other solutions at all?

Thanks,
Kenny

do you use auto logon? Do you give the same username and password of the
remote computer?

Yes, I use auto logon and every computer, including the
ones with mapped drives, use the same username and
password. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kenny
