well i repaired an install on my system and after i entered my coa cd key it
failed to activate over the net so i did the manual method by phone. Went
trhough the entire automated process entered the activation code an failed to
activate. windows showed with an invalid code error. So i had the number
repeated back to me sure enough their all there but of course it still doesnt
work.
Then i get tranfered to some kind of support personel we wen through and
checked the number and it matched and tryed it again and no go. so we
changed the code and went for for a new activation key and still no go so i
was then told to talk to support..silly me i though thats who i was talking
to. Any this is only installed on one machine and never used as an upgrade
disk just to do repair I was wondering is there anything that i can do to
make it work besides doing the repair again(all ready tryed) before i have to
hop on the phone with tech support. Im just guessing its going to be moer
fun than barrel of monkeys .

Did you use the original Windows XP CD that came with your
Product Key? Is it a retail or OEM version?
