XP reboots when playing games or burning cd's

When playing some of my games, and also when using Nero
to burn cd's, my computer crashes and gives me the
following error at the blue screen.
BAD_POOL_CALLER

*** STOP: 0x000000C2 (0x00000007, 0x00000CD4, 0x00000000,
0x861D4CD8)

Computer details
Windows XP SP1
Intel 875 Motherboard
2.8GHZ P4 800MHZ FSB
1 GB DDR 400
2 - 36 GB Western Digital SATA (RAID 0)
Radeon 9800 PRO 256MB DDR
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum

I have tried updating all of the drivers. I recently
found out about verifier.exe, but all that did was give
me a blue screen when I rebooted that said

IO SYSTEM VERIFICATION ERROR IN SMBios.sys (WDM DRIVER
ERROR 20e) [SMBios.sys+4cf0 at F767BCF0]

What does this mean, how do I fix it? Also, how do i
disable the verifier.exe program so it doesn't run
anymore? (I can boot into safe mode, but it's not
helpful)

Thanks very much in advance,

Seth
