XP Program Icons

For most of my programs (Most notably Office 2K and Acrobat Reader 8),
but not all, Windows is displaying the default icon - the little blue
and white box. When I click on the icon, however, the right program
opens. This happens every time I create a new user, so I think the
problem is somewhere in the default user profile.

This computer is made from an image. I had no problems like this on
the original box. I used sysprep to create the image, then the Windows
backup utility to copy to the backup computer. I've done this with
several different models, and haven't had a problem. The computer is a
Dell Inspiron 330.

So far, I've deleted iconcache.db in the Default User profile, used
the TweakUI utility to repair icon cache, replaced my custom
NTUser.dat with the windows default (I haven't had a problem w/ that
file before.)

Thanks in advance

Are you saying that you installed it on another computer and then
transferred it to another? With a different motherboard, chipset, etc.?
If so, I never got that to work without problems.
