Win XP desktop icons appear like Win2000 icons in 16 bit colour mode

OS = XP Pro SP2
I was using the TweakUI program and it corrupted my icons - they now
appear like the old Win 2000 icons all bitty etc.

I tried the repair option in TweakUI - didnt work. I tried deleting
the iconcache.db - didnt work. I tried copying iconcache.db form
another profile - didnt work.

Everything appears perfect in 32 bit colour mode but like 2000 in 16
bit colour mode.

Anyone have any suggestions ?
