XP Professional Upgrade

If I have a full version of XP Professional software (Not
just the Upgrade), can I use this software to do
an "upgrade" from XP Home Edition? (upgrade, I mean not
loosing my existing configurations, software
installations, data, etc) . I know if I install fresh, it
will reformat my disk and loose everything.

Yes.
The full version can perform both a Clean and Upgrade Installation.
An upgrade version can as well. a

Thank you for the information. Now, could I use XP
Professional Upgrade software to upgrade from XP Home
Edition ? The software box does not list a path from XP
Home Edition to XP Professional !!
Thanks again for helping me out buy and apply the
appropriate software upgrade fro my need.

Yes, I think it is not listed on the box because those in marketing
did not think people would upgrade from Home to Pro.
