XP Pro workstations loose connection to Server 2000/20003

I have two networks (workgroups not domain). I am experiencing the same problem on both networks
Everyday (and sometimes during the day), the workstations can not print and/or loose connection to mapped drives. The workstations can still get onto the Internet but they cannot reconnect to the server unless the server is restarted. This is an everyday occurence and has become quite irritating to have to reconnect each PC manually when this happens. The PCs and Jetdirects are all using DHCP because we are not part of a domain. The servers have static IPs assigned by our ISPs.

There is a limit of concurrent connections for workgroups. You may be runing into this. The
number of concurrent connections is 10. It may be an issue of reaching this limit and rebooting
the server resolve sit because it now closes all connections.

Thanks,
Gary

A workgroup cannot have more than 10 concurrent connections? Are saying that I need to setup domains to resolve this problem?

No per se. But you'll need a server OS.
