XP pro won't boot with a slave HD attached

I added a IBM 60gig and the message "problem loading OS"
came up I have tried the HD as slave ( it was a slave in
another computer)and then tried it as a slave and then as
secondary master and the same message comes up. I put it
on another computer @ the same setup, and it works fine
as a slave. Any ideas?
 
Make sure the original drive is set to master and again make sure the second
drive is set to slave.
