Question;
Is there a work around file transfer files to another PC?

Work around no external drive or new PC to do it with.

Added, slave hard drive, to pc,willn't let me transfer files into this slave.

OS is a (OEM recovery disk) it came loaded with PC;

If I use (recovey disk ) it will restore back to setup state,wil this
effect slave also?

How do I tell C-drve, were these files are at, if there on slave HD?

Flash media like thumb drives are cheap. You can always get a USB enabled
hard drive case. Handy stuff to keep around.

No. If you have an concerns unplug it. Did you format the slave? Is there
some security setting (drive unshared or owned by another user) that
prevents it from being used?

That'd depend on where you put 'em. I'm sorry but without knowing what they
are, what you're looking for, or (worse) where you opt to put 'em? I can't
tell you. I have the Hammer© but the Magic 8-Ball© isn't mine else I'd wager
a guess.

Hmmm...

Actually? I'll wager a guess. You tell 'em that they're where you put 'em?
(If you inserted the slave properly and it is recognized it will just appear
as yet another drive.)

It appears to me you are a person of words and wit:

As, the only thing I really know is that I know nothing;

Slave formated to NTFS show as a slave f:
Trying to transfer all system files, picture,music, for 3 users on Drive C:

C-drive 20 gig have just under 2 gigs open---slave drive 40 gig nothing on it.
When i use XP file transfer program it has to be a external drive or new PC
running a USB cord, no option to transfer to a slave drive.

Reason to do this is to open C-drive up (to help os run better)
Its a intel Celuron chip 1.2 with with a very small L2 c older chip.

Running at pc-100 with 384 168 dimms at pc-100.

Will keep OS xp-home on c-drive

thumb drive or external, this unit for a bible class at the local church, I
am on disabilty,and funds are short enough, month to month.

not sure if this help or hinders what i need to do.

If I'm understanding you properly...

Hmm... As there's no need to REALLY worry too much about it - they're
images...

With the drive loaded as a slave in the system...
Go to User A, grab their files, put them in a folder.
Right click the entire folder - select "copy"
Navigate to the slave drive.
Right click and select paste.
Wait... Wait a little while longer...
Right click on the folder (the one you just COPIED) and make sure it is the
right size.
Make sure it has the right number of files.
If it does then go to the C drive once again and remove them if you'd like.

Is one file not moving, locked, etc? If so then we've got potentially more
issues at hand but let's start there.

First thxs for the quick responce

Thats what i started before, to copy, paste folder to slave, Took first user
also this is the Admin. for this pc, got a issues (windows couldn't find
active desktop) then it told me can't move file into its own Dir, now i have
3 folders with Documents and settings in C and 4 folders call the same thing,
in slave F-Drive:

Question: Should I move, what files i can, to slave and put OEM recovery
disk in and restore C-drive back to factory settings?

It looks to me that I didn't start this move right, that a trickel down
affect going to happen to OS and cause more issues.

When i open file in F -drive file properties says, target is C-drive, was
not willing to delete folder in C: that the data would be lost.

To the point that all files were to move but can't move this file lock out:
example 10 files in folder only able to move nine, other, don't have acess;
to prytell, i think i have bitten off, more then i can chew.

The angle that watches over me is not to savey in the use of PC:)

You can try moving what you can - you might want these two links:

(something to help get the fussy applications moved)
