I have a Dell Dimension 4600 PC that came pre-loaded w/XP
Pro. I recently reformatted the HD and re-installed XP.
I updated it to XP SP1a.
No matter what i set in the Power settings (I have it set
to shut down the hard disk after 30 minutes and hibernate
after 1 hour), the system will not shut down the hard disk
or hibernate.
If I go to the shutdown option and choose Hibernate, the
system will hibernate perfectly and it comee back up
without an issue.
I'm looking for a way to get my system to automatically
hibernate (it will not automatically go into standby
either).
