Hi,
I upgraded this laptop (XP Pro SP1 - fully patched) from 1GB RAM to 2GB
RAM about a month ago. Since then, I've been getting an error "Insufficient
resources exist to complete the API" as a SystemTray balloon whenever I try
to hibernate.
I've gone through disabling hibernate/rebooting/enabling the option a few
times. C:\hiberfil.sys is 2 GB in size. I've also applied the
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330909 hotfix. But
the problem still exists.
Probably unrelated to this, but I'm not sure so... Every 2-3 boots, I get
repeated GPFs in WMIPrvSE.exe:
Faulting application wmiprvse.exe, version 5.1.2600.1106, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.1217, fault address 0x00019d63.
The GPF keeps reoccuring until I either shutdown & disable the WMI service
or reboot. I haven't been able to resolve this issue.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
