Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 2650 running XP Pro SP2. My problem is that when I
resume from Stand-By mode (for any length of time), the laptop becomes very
slow. The start menu took 2 minutes to load for example. I had to hold down
the power button to force a shut-down and restart again.
It SEEMS that this happens when the Laptop resumes from Stand-By with no
network connections on. If I had a direct connection to the router via
ethernet cable this doesn't happen. But I use my wireless card which turns
off in stanby, or if I just don't have any connections, BAM the computer
slows to a crawl when I resume.
I can't find anything in the Knowledge Base or on the web. Any suggestions
would be of great help. Thank you all in advaced.
