I've setup remote desktop, but want to be able to access my computer through
my linksys firewall(at home) from work.
I have the ip address for my router, and internal ip address, and dns
address, and mac address. - can I put some form of those into the ip address
to address my home computer? I don't have a static ip address, or a name
service, but think I should be able to put the addresses together to have it
work.
Thanks for your help.

You need to forward TCP Port 3389 through the router. Call using the public
IP of the router. I use a free service from No-IP.com to map my ISP
generated DHCP IP to an alias. Go to http://www.no-ip.com for details...

Hey Al,
thank you lots. It worked. I really liked the no-ip.com, and the
remoteSetup.html page. they were both very helpful.
Best regards,
Carl
