Hi All,

Since I went from Win 98 SE to XP Pro on all my stations I am having a
problem with scheduled tasks - regardless of what they are. For
example I want all my stations to run a Norton System Scan every
Sunday night (I am running NAV 2003 & 2004) - the scan never runs.
According to the scheduled task it ran but not according to Norton. I
also want my workstations to run Disk Cleanup on a daily basis to get
rid of the temporary Internet files - if left up to my users they
would have a million of these files. This too doesn't run. I never had
a problem with Windows 98 and I'm sure it has something to do with
security issues on the workstation. But I have since created each user
as an administrator of their machine and even an administrator of the
domain - yet I get the same results.

Is any one else having similar problems? Or am I being really dumb
here and overlooking the obvious?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Linda

Hello Linda
I believe in XP that scheduled tasks have to be setup with a password to run
but Kelly offers some good insight that may solve your problems. Click on
the S and scroll.

Hello River_Rat,

Thanks for the tip - I will try the suggestions found and see if that
resolves my issue.
