When I change passwords in XP Pro I get a message that windows is unable to
change the password. However, when logging back on the new password has
taken effect. What's the problem? Well I can't use a password hint and I am
concerned that some piece of malware has taken control of part of my system.
I use Norton AV and Internet Security. I would be grateful for any thoughts.

Found out the fix enable both com+ services and set to automatic. It will
require a reboot.
