Xp Pro networking with Xp Home

Hello,
I have two PCs, one with XO PRO and one with XP HOME. I want to network them
together for file, printer and internet sharing.

At present I have been able to have the XP HOME PC reading the shared files
on the XP PRO PC, but not vice a versa. The two PCs are linked via ethernet
cable to a DSL modem for the internet sharing and it is working file on both
PCs. The only problem is that the PRO PC will not read files on the HOME PC
and I don't know why? Please help?

One of the best possible causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, or other security component. There are several
others too.

You could look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config server", and
"net config workstation", from each computer, and diagnose the problem. Read
this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely (download
browstat!):
